Opening Day with Champ Kind

Channel 4 News Team: Sports with Champ Kind

Champ Kind, here with KVWN Sports.

I'm all about having fun. Get a couple cocktails in me and maybe start a fire in someone's kitchen. Go to Sea World and take my pants off. Anyways, I've become kinda famous for my catch phase "WHAMMY!" As in "Derek Wagner at the plate... aaaaaannnnnnnd WHAMMY!" I'm the sports anchor for Channel 4 News Team and will be covering your new league here with some previews and reviews. Just don't eat my chocolate squirrel and everything should be a-ok!

Opening Day is here and all teams are ready to kick off the first season. WHAMMY! Pre-season predictions showed 3 teams reaching the 100 win mark and one team managed to stay under 40 wins for the entire year! The Salt Lake City Knights, Maracaibo Eagles, and San Juan Senators are looking like the teams to beat based solely on early predictions. I have to admit, I kinda like SLC with their two top 20 sluggers in the mix, Derek Wagner and Jon Zamora. That team alone should give plenty of chances to use my catch phrase "WHAMMY, WHAMMY, WHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAMY!"

Spring Training came to a close with the Bogota Toros claiming the pre-season wins total crown. They deserve the paper machete trophy and should be watched as a contender for the inaugural Americas Cup as the first iteration of the WHEBO Prime Baseball league gets underway. On the opposite side of the spectrum, the Santo Domingo Dukes managed to win just 1 game in 18 tries through Spring ball. That doesn't leave much for the fans in the Dominican Republic to be excited about. Maybe they're bluffing the entire league or maybe they just aren't that good. We're about to find out as the season officially gets under way today at 5:00pm PST! I'll leave you with Champ's quick list of my favorite players in the league. Stay tuned for more in depth previews and reviews with Champ! WHAMMY!!

Champs Top 3
